16. October 2024

Are you planning a conference for hundreds of attendees? Organizing an outdoor festival or concert and need a truly large capacity? We’ve got some tips on venues in South Moravia that can accommodate over 700 people.

1. Trade Fairs Brno

The Brno Exhibition Centre is a landmark that has earned Brno the title of “fair city.” Built in the 1920s as an exhibition space for Brno’s industrialists, it is now the largest trade fair administration in Central Europe. The range of available spaces is so vast that it can easily meet any demand, from training sessions or congresses to massive trade fairs. A symbol of modern times is Pavilion P, opened in 2009, which is the second largest hall in the Czech Republic, right after the O2 Arena, with a capacity of up to 12,500 people.

Moreover, in 2026, the grounds will be expanded with the addition of Arena Brno, a multifunctional hall with a capacity for another 13,000 people.

2. Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum

The congress centre, just 2 km from Brno city centre, offers professional facilities for conferences, parties, formal balls, and business meetings. Among the multifunctional, interconnected spaces, Zoner Bobyhall stands out, accommodating up to 1,250 guests, and comes equipped with laser show capabilities and three giant LED screens.

The Berlin Hall can host up to 470 people, featuring two bars, a stage, a dance floor, and is the perfect venue for large corporate parties and social events.

On-site, you’ll also find a four-star hotel with a restaurant and café, along with plenty of sports activities. After a game of squash or tennis, you can unwind at the wellness center, complete with a sauna and relaxation pool.

3. OREA congress hotel Brno

OREA Congress Hotel is a modern business hotel located in close proximity to the Brno Exhibition Centre. It features one of the largest conference halls in the region. In 2020, the hotel underwent extensive renovations, providing guests with comfortable accommodations, stylish social spaces, and an excellent culinary experience.

The largest congress hall can accommodate up to 700 people and offers the option to be divided into three smaller sections. By connecting all the halls on the ground floor, a unique banquet space is created for hosting social evenings for up to 600 guests. The multifunctional foyer is an ideal location for placing exhibition booths, vehicles, or other large items. For smaller events, the hotel’s salons on the first floor, filled with natural light, are a perfect choice.

Two hotel restaurants serve specialties from both Czech and international cuisine. The Atrium Restaurant on the first floor primarily caters to hotel breakfasts and provides lunch and dinner service during large corporate events. The luxurious Fairside à la carte restaurant and bar is a great place for informal meetings or relaxation after a busy day.

4. Chateau Slavkov – Austerlitz

The largest Baroque monument in Moravia and a symbol of Napoleon’s triumph now invites you to host social events. The most beautiful and largest Historical Hall, with excellent acoustics, can accommodate up to 300 guests for a buffet or 200 spectators for a concert. For smaller events, consider the Theater Hall or the Rubens Hall.

In the summer months, the courtyard with its monumental castle backdrop is the most stunning venue for cultural and social events. The courtyard can hold up to 2,000 people standing or 1,000 seated. It can also be equipped with a dance floor, party tents, and bistro tables. But that’s not all. The castle is adjoined by a park that offers immense versatility for various events. Regular festivals, markets, and exhibitions take place here. You can even rent the entire park, providing nearly unlimited capacity.

The possibilities at Slavkov Chateau are truly royal. The event team has extensive experience in organizing events and can ensure a successful occasion from A to Z, thanks to their connections with reliable suppliers.

5. Valtice Chateau Riding hall & Anton Florian hotel

Host your event in a castle setting and give it the perfect flair. The Anton Florian Castle Hotel, part of Valtice Castle, offers spaces in the entrance lobby (30 seated, 60 standing) and in the Zlatá terasa restaurant. The restaurant has a capacity of 70 seated and 80 standing for a buffet. In the summer, the space opens up to a beautiful terrace that highlights the uniqueness of the location. Additionally, there is a wine cellar that can accommodate up to 60 people.

For larger gatherings, you can also access additional rental spaces within the Valtice Castle grounds. For example, the Winter Riding Hall can seat up to 800 people. The staff will prepare a flawless conference, meeting, or team-building event for you, taking care of both catering and accompanying programs. Take advantage of the unique atmosphere of this UNESCO heritage site and create an unforgettable event.

+ Extra tip: Valtice Underground & Amonit Winery

It would be hard to find a more pleasant spot for a corporate event in Lednice than the Amonit Winery. Guests are greeted by a well-kept garden with a charming covered pergola, perfect for summer wine tastings! Your event can also take place in the restaurant, the private lounge, or the stylish barn, which accommodates up to 60 people. Enhance your program with a visit to Valtice Underground, managed by Amonit, where you’ll experience a typical Moravian evening complete with a live cimbalom band!

Looking for something more active? Hop straight into a canoe behind the winery and paddle along the Dyje river to the Minaret or Janohrad. An event at Amonit Winery beautifully complements the fairytale atmosphere of Lednice.
