The conference for professionals in the fields of winemaking and wine tourism, which has been keeping us busy for the past few months, will kick off on March 25 in Mikulov. Choosing the right venues for different parts of the conference is a key aspect of event planning. They need to be not only practical and suitable in terms of capacity but also carefully selected to ensure that our guests fully experience the atmosphere of South Moravia as a renowned wine region.
Places where the wine world comes together
For the main part of the IWINETC conference—including the lectures, exhibition (featuring wineries and destinations), B2B meetings, and coffee breaks—we have chosen the stunning spaces of Mikulov Chateau. Speakers will deliver their presentations in the Grand Chateau Hall, which can accommodate up to 300 attendees in a theater-style setup.
During coffee breaks and the partner exhibition, guests will be welcomed into the Vinárna, a modern space comfortably seating 90 people. For buffet-style lunches, prepared by the team of Marcel Ihnačák, we will creatively utilize the interconnected Entrance Hall, Hall of Ancestors, and Hunting Hall. The buffet will be set up in the Hunting Hall, where guests can serve themselves and then move to the adjacent Hall of Ancestors, where seating at tables will be available. For those who prefer a quieter dining experience or wish to hold a working lunch, high tables will be set up in the Entrance Hall.
The final day of the conference will be dedicated to B2B meetings, which will also take place in the Grand Chateau Hall.
Good news for all conference participants! Starting in the afternoon of March 25, they will have the opportunity to join a guided tour of the chateau, including a visit to the giant wine barrel.

Welcome Reception at Závodný Gallery
We will officially welcome conference participants in style—with a glass of Moravian sparkling wine at a welcome reception in the Závodný Gallery. This modern building was constructed on the site of a lost Jewish quarter and has enriched the heart of Mikulov with its clean, contemporary architecture. The gallery showcases solo exhibitions by both Czech and international artists, with a focus on geometric, minimalist, and conceptual art, as well as works by Czech artists who went into exile.
The evening will follow a simple concept: light refreshments, two wine stations—one hosted directly by the gallery owners and the other curated by the National Wine Centre, featuring selections from the Wine Salon. Adding to the ambiance, a local pianist will enhance the minimalist atmosphere, perfectly complementing the space.

Wine Salon & Gala dinner at Obelisk Winery
Attending a wine conference without visiting the city known as the “wine capital”? That would be a sin. That’s why, on Wednesday, March 26, after a full day of lectures, we are inviting our VIP guests to an exclusive tasting at the Wine Salon in Valtice.
Located in the cellars of Valtice Chateau, the Wine Salon showcases a new collection each year, featuring the top 100 Moravian and Czech wines selected by expert judges. This year’s collection was unveiled on February 1 and presents wines from 62 different wineries across all Czech wine regions. Guests can explore and taste the collection at their own pace, or groups of 8 to 45 people can book a guided tasting with a sommelier.
Following the visit to the Wine Salon, registered guests will be taken to Obelisk Winery, nestled among vineyards near Valtice. There, they will enjoy a seated dinner with wine pairing, accompanied by traditional cimbalom music. The winery’s minimalist, modern architecture provides a stunning setting for weddings and corporate events, with the capacity to host gatherings of up to 150 people.
As a conference participant, you can register for this exclusive evening experience via this link.

Dinner with wine pairing at Korek
The final evening will be dedicated to a dinner for buyers, and we will invite them to the wine bar and restaurant Korek in Mikulov. This wine shop showcases wines from the Dunajovické Kopce winegrowers’ association and, in addition to local wines, focuses on high-quality gastronomy. Korek can be rented for corporate events for up to 60 people.

For the evening programs, we have chosen modern spaces primarily to balance the historic character of the chateau, where the educational part of the event takes place. Our goal is to showcase the diverse offerings of South Moravia, ensuring a rich and unforgettable experience for all attendees.
