While ambassador programs are common in the world of convention bureaux, in the Czech Republic, they have only been implemented in Prague—until now. We are excited to bring this initiative to Brno and the South Moravian region.
The core of this program is the collaboration between the convention bureau and selected experts from the academic and scientific communities. These experts use their knowledge and connections to support the organization of professional congresses in Brno and South Moravia. By partnering with ambassadors from various fields, we can target relevant groups and attract prestigious international events to the region. Our goal is to not only increase the number of congresses and specialized events but also improve their quality.
Who is an Ambassador?
Ambassadors can be scientists, academics, representatives of professional associations and chambers, global companies and institutions, and organizers of congresses and conferences. What they all have in common is deep expertise in their field and a passion for promoting Brno and South Moravia as ideal destinations for professional events. They are proud of Brno and eager to showcase their region’s advancements to the world and their professional communities.
What Benefits Does the Program Offer Ambassadors?
We provide ambassadors with support to ease the burden of organizing conferences. This includes assistance with the bidding process, budget preparation, venue selection, and accompanying programs. We also help negotiate grants and financial resources from the city and provide contacts for professional congress management agencies.
A Collaborative Path to Developing Professional Conferences
We enable academics to focus fully on their work and share the results of their research. In return, they help us and the region by bringing visitors to professional conferences, who ideally extend their stay in South Moravia, sometimes bringing their families. Together, we will attract more professional events, enhancing Brno’s reputation as an innovative congress city. This symbiotic relationship will drive growth throughout the South Moravian region.
